Prestigious project for ADNOC Onshore

3P Prinz has been recently  involved in a prestigious project for ADNOC Onshore for supplying two Oil Recovery Pump packages.
The scope of supply consists in Design, Engineering, Material. Procurement, Manufacture, Assembly, Inspection, Testing, Painting, Documentation of 2 off Diesel Driven Oil Recovery Pumps mounted on Trailers, complete with associated piping, valves, tanks, instrumentation, coolers, batteries and accessories.
To meet this challenging scope 3P Prinz chose its API 676 twin screw pumps HDL14 series with internal liner designed to deliver superior performance in complex working environments with capacity of up to 220 m3/h of sour crude oil powered by CAT diesel engine, fully ATEX converted to be suitable for operation hazardous area Zone 2. The pumps are equipped with double mechanical seals with customized API plan 53B systems and with diesel storage tank with a capacity that allows the engine to run for more than 22 hours continuously.
Electric start-up is done through separate ATEX certified battery packages mounted on a customised 4-wheeled trolley, that are connected to the main trailer before its operation.

The two oil recovery pump packages are assembled on customised trailers, that can be towed by truck tractors to be able to reach the Pipeline corridor and BVS valves where needed, executing 5 different Oil Recovery pre-set scenarios with different pumping parameters: from and to Pipeline, from the Pipeline to the Storage Bladders, from Spill Area to Storage Bladders, from Spill Area to the Road Tankers, from Storage Bladders to the pipeline.

The whole process of testing and inspection has followed ADNOC Criticality Rating 1 and Inspection Class 1, which means that 3.2 TPI inspection on each and every single step of the inspection test plan has been executed, making it fully sealed proven proof upon all Quality aspects. The recent FAT held at the end of January in Dubai with a large team from ADNOC personnel and inspectors was passed successfully giving the green light to the two packages to proceed to reach their destination, one in IPS (Habshan Oil Terminal) and the other in MOT (Fujairah Oil Terminal).

These pump packages will be used for emergency recovery of spilled sour oil from the ADNOC oil pipeline and shall be able to suck oil from a 15 meters long flexible hose, working at very low NPSHa conditions, in a start-up condition with no liquid on the suction hose and piping, and shall also be capable of pumping small stones or solid particles coming from the oil spill area.
They can also be used for emptying and draining the oil pipeline in case of maintenance.
